Table of Benefits for the Essential Benefits Package - Dubai

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) essential health insurance prompted some plan upgrades during 2021-2022.

Meeting the DHA Strategy programs set for 2016-2021 and specifically the primary care, the health plan designed to protect all the residents in Dubai. 

It is now identifying full coverage up to the annual aggregate limit for any pre-existing or chronic condition developing into an emergency within the first 6-month exclusion period.  

In addition, the DHA consolidated the principle for general practitioners (GPs) to be the first point of contact for any adherent seeking medical advice. Then, the GP may do the referral to a specialist whenever this is deemed necessary.

These changes show that the DHA intends on developing the Essential Health plan at an affordable premium while enlarging the scope for any serious case to be covered by insurers without any waiting period.

I am sharing with you below the latest Table of Benefits for the Essential Benefits Package being the minimum standard for any policy of health insurance issued in the Emirate of Dubai.
